Affiliations are used to link Contacts together that have a shared relationship (Affiliation) – neighbors, parent/child, cousins, etc. Customize the affiliations relevant for your organization.
Some affiliations with be one-sided with only the first Description: Neighbors, Cousins, Siblings, etc.
Others are double-sided with an Associated Description: Parent/Child, Employer/Employee, Piano Student/Teacher
