The world of email is a little like the Wild West compared to web pages. Each email provider decides how they want to display an email, and that can vary widely from Gmail to Outlook to Apple Mail, etc. It’s best to keep it simple and use tables with columns and rows to help organize your content in a specific way.

For example, if you want to display a picture on the left and text on the right, you will need to use tables. If you want to create a fancy looking newsletter and have it scale for mobile devices and look similar on a computer, then tables will help you do that.

Here’s a video that shows how to center your content in a center column. This helps control picture sizes and eliminates scrolling left/right on mobile devices to read the whole email.
