The Value Received field on the Donation data-entry tab, is used to track the portion of the donation that is NOT Tax Deductible. The formula for calculating what is tax deductible is Donation Amount – Value Received = Tax Deductible Donation Amount.

For example, a ticket to the Golf Tournament:

Amount: $200
Value Received: $125

$125 is the value of the golfing and food that the donor received. This portion is not tax deductible. $200 minus $125 leaves a $75 tax deductible amount which will show on the Contribution Statements.

**NOTE** This is NOT the value of an InKind donation.
