Select Donations that have not yet been acknowledged and match those Donations with an already loaded Acknowledgment letter.<\/p>\n<p>From there, Donation Acknowledgments can either be emailed or printed for mailing depending on whether or not a valid email address is available for the donor. \u00a0Your Word-document Thank you will be attached as a PDF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I send a Thank You letter withOUT a PDF Attachment?\u00a0<\/strong>No. This system is designed to include that attachment of your formal letter.<\/p>\n<p>First you must create your letters as Word documents and upload those into DonorSnap. <a href=\"https:\/\/donorsnap.com\/support\/docs\/donation-acknowledgement-letters\/\">Click Here for more information<\/a>. Once your letters are uploaded, this video will walk you through all the steps:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"tscplayer_inline smart-player-embed-container-iframe embeddedObject\" style=\"overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.screencast.com\/users\/DennisMueller\/folders\/Help Videos New Skin\/media\/43c6c673-24a6-496e-bcbc-f142d2b96432\/embed\" name=\"tsc_player\" width=\"800\" height=\"405\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Email Acknowledgment tool works like all other DonorSnap screens where you work from right to left using each tab to complete the process. \u00a0 The basic steps are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Acknowledgment listing:\u00a0<\/strong>Pick an existing batch that you would like to work on or click ADD to create a new batch of Donations to acknowledge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Filters<\/strong>: Specify which batch(s) of Donations to acknowledge. \u00a0Select the mail merge document you wish to use for your Donation Acknowledgment. \u00a0This letter must have already been uploaded\u00a0 (<strong>Processing &gt; Documents and Labels &gt; Upload\/Download\/Delete<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>E-Mail settings<\/strong>: Create your custom email to accompany your acknowledgment letters which will be PDF attachments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Generate PDF<\/strong>: Create the Acknowledgment Letter based upon the donation information and the mail merge letter selected in step 2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Review Donations<\/strong> selected for acknowledging and choose to either send the acknowledgment via email or to print the acknowledgment (or both). \u00a0If a donation does not have a valid email you still will be able to print the acknowledgment.<\/li>\n<li>Once a donation has been acknowledged it will appear under this tab. \u00a0The user can see the letter that was sent, reprint it or resend the email acknowledgment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Acknowledgement Listing Tab<\/h2>\n<p>Add a new batch to create new letters. Each batch is only used one time, but they can be copied each time you come back. When you&#8217;re finished, you can easily see what has been done in the past and archive batches you no longer want to see.<\/p>\n<h3>Processing Batch column:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Pending<\/strong> &#8211; this batch is currently waiting in the queue and has not started generating your PDF&#8217;s<br \/>\n<strong>Yes<\/strong> &#8211; this batch is actively generating your PDF&#8217;s<br \/>\n<strong>No<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0this batch is no longer running or waiting to be run<\/p>\n<h3>Total Batch column:<\/h3>\n<p>This column will show the total number of PDF&#8217;s in the batch once the PDF&#8217;s have started being created.<\/p>\n<h3>Batch Processed column:<\/h3>\n<p>This column shows you how many PDF&#8217;s have already been generated.
